Panch Pokhari Trek Overview

The Panchpokhari Trek is a sacred pilgrimage site located in Sindhupalchok district of Nepal. This short trek takes you to the five pristine alpine lakes situated located at 4,100 meters and is also surrounded by mountain scenery and deep cultural significance for both Hindu and Buddhist religion. The trek duration is 5 to 7 days depending upon the pace and comfortability of trekkers. The highest altitude you will reach on this trek is around 4,100 meters, which is the Panchpokhari Viewpoint.

A short trek towards Panchpokhari offers you a wide Himalayan panorama, including the Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Gauri Shankar (7,134m), Jugal Himal, and other beautiful mountains. Trekkers can also witness stunning sunrise from the viewpoints, creating unforgettable memories. The trial condition on the Panchpokhari trek is a mix of forest paths, ridge walks and rocky high-altitude trails. This trek can be done in any season, but the monsoon is not recommended, as the views are unclear and the mountains are often covered by clouds. Monsoon season is perfect for those who want to witness the forests and meadows full of colorful flowers. There is a temple dedicated to the Hindu God of Destruction, Shiva, as well as bathing areas for those who wish to purify themselves in the holy water. This trek is ideal for those who want to enjoy stunning Himalayan views, dense forests, and remote landscapes.

The Panchpokhari Trek is a perfect mixture of nature, culture and spirituality. From walking through dense forests and witnessing beautiful Himalayan views to visiting the sacred high-altitude lakes, this trek offers trekkers a peaceful escape from the crowds.
