The Annapurna base Camp (ABC) Trek or Annapurna  Sanctuary Trek is one of the most iconic and high altitude trekking destinations in Nepal. Trekkers trek through the Annapurna Sanctuary with a breathtaking view of glacial basin surrounded by some of the highest and most beautiful mountain peaks.

The Treks begins from Pokhara which passes through diverse landscapes from terraced fields and rhododendron forests to high altitude peaks. In this trek, you will get to experience the Gurung and Magar communities staying in the mountain tea. This trek is suitable for most of the trekkers as its maximum altitude is of 4,130 meters. It takes around 7 to 12 days for the tekkers depending upon the route and pace of trekkers. The total distance of the trek is approximately 110-120 km.

Ulleri and Ghorepani, Chhomrong, Bamboo and Dovan, Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC), and Annapurna Base Camp are some of the key places along the trail. Annapurna South (7,219m), Tent Peak/ Tharpu Chuli (5,695 m),Gangapurna (7,455 m), etc. are some of the major peaks seen from ABC. This trek is also known as teahouse trek as you can stay in small mountain lodges along the route. Nepali and international foods like dal bhat, momo, noodles,pasta, etc. are the foods that is mostly offered in this route. This trek welcomes you with warm hospitality, rich traditions, and culture. You can type in the number of passengers to book a reservation and select a date that is convenient for you. Due to group size, we never cancel a trip once you've made a reservation. If you would rather join the group, we will add more travelers on the selected date. You can let us know once you make a reservation or earlier.

Annapurna Base camp trek is about 110 to 115 km (93 to 105 miles) round trip from Pokhara to ABC and back. The journey takes 9 walking days, with 5 to 7 hours of trekking each day. Each day while ascending, trekkers walk between 10 to 15 km, depending on the terrain, and elevation gain. A trek to Jhinu Danda, famous for its natural hot springs is usually done while descending from Annapurna Base Camp. Jhinu Danda is located at an altitude of 1780 m and involves a walking distance of 8 to 9 km. During the descent, the walking distance is longer, as trekkers cover two acclimatization points within a day .The starting point of this trek at Nayapul sits at an elevation of 1,070 meters, while Annapurna Base Camp lies at 4,130 meters. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek doesn’t require technical climbing skill but does require a certain level of physical fitness .Many beginners have successfully completed the Annapurna Base Camp trek, so mountaineering experience is not required. Trekkers will be walking 5 to 7 hours a day at on average, often on rocky, uneven trails, and elevation gains.
