The trek begins with a scenic flight to Lukla, either from Kathmandu or by Ramechapp. From Lukla, the trail is different from the crowded Everest Base Camp route and heads southeast into the lesser known Hinku Valley.  The journey through this valley marks the introduction to the Himalayan wilderness, walking through the peaceful villages like Paiya, Pangoma before entering the alpine terrain.
