The region is full of towering peaks such as Langtang Lirung (7,227 m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m), and Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), and it’s separated by glacial rivers, including the sacred Bhote Koshi and Langtang Khola.
The most popular trek in the Langtang Valley includes the iconic Langtang Valley Trek often referred to as the “Valley of Glaciers Trek”, Gosaikunda Lake Trek, Helambu Trek and many others. Trekkers will require the following permits to trek in the Langtang Region, Langtang National Park Entry Permit and TIMS Card (Trekkers Information Management System).
Langtang Region treks are supported, especially by family run teahouses and lodges. These are small lodges offering rooms with basic amenities and communal dining areas. The common meal includes the traditional Dal Bhat, Tibetan Bread and Honey.
